TestingEbb Engine · Exhausted pumps · 1d to 4h

Every other engine here waits for something to start. This one waits for something to finish. It looks for coins that have already run hard, checks whether the run is showing its age, and then does nothing at all until the high actually fails. The move down off a finished rally is usually faster than the rally was, which is why it is worth the wait.

The rules it runs, in plain language

  • It has to have run: at least a quarter added since its recent low, and still near the top of that run rather than already collapsed.
  • Then it has to look tired for at least two separate reasons. Three complete pushes higher, each a real move with a real pullback between them. Price stretched to the top of its two month range. Or the last week and a half going vertical compared with the weeks before it.
  • Only then the trigger, and it is a failure rather than a wick: a 4 hour candle that takes the recent high and closes back under it, red.
  • Before anything is booked it checks who is positioned. Open interest that grew into the rally with longs paying funding means leveraged profit still to be taken, and taking it is selling. Open interest that already fell into the high means the longs are out and there is nothing left to squeeze, so the trade is refused.
  • The stop goes above the high that just failed. The target is half the run given back. If that is not worth at least twice the risk, it does not trade.
  • Same discipline as its siblings: weekend and BTC mid-range stand-down, 2 new calls per heartbeat across all test bots, 3 open at once, 24 hour cooldown per coin, ten day time stop.

It will be wrong often, and that is priced in

Something looking finished and something actually stopping are not the same event. A coin can keep being pushed higher long after every reasonable measure says it is done, and this engine will be stopped out by exactly that more than once. The answer is not to be cleverer about the timing, it is to keep the loss small and known before the trade starts. The stop sits just above a high that has already failed once, so being wrong costs a little and being right pays several times that. That arithmetic, not the hit rate, is the whole edge.

TESTING means the record above is built live, call by call, wins and losses alike, with no backfill. It graduates to auto deploy only if the record earns it. Research signals, not financial advice; markets are risky and past results never promise future ones.
