🪤 Deviation BOT

TestingMirage Engine · Range deviations · 1h

In the middle of a range there is nothing to trade. The edges are where the money sits, because that is where everybody's stop orders are. The Mirage Engine waits for one of those edges to be pushed through, the stops behind it taken, and price to fall straight back inside. Then it does the part most traders skip: it waits for price to come back to that same edge and be refused from the inside before it takes the trade.

The rules it runs, in plain language

  • The range is the last seven days of trading. Its high and its low are the two edges that matter.
  • First a sweep: one hourly candle trades through an edge, no more than 2% beyond it, on at least 1.5 times the recent average volume, and closes back inside. That is the liquidity being collected.
  • Then the reclaim has to hold. Every candle after the sweep must close back inside the range. One close back outside and the break was real, so the setup is dropped.
  • The coin sits on the watchlist above from that moment. Nothing is traded yet, and it can sit there for hours.
  • The trade opens only when price returns to the edge and is refused: the candle touches the level but closes away from it, without making a new extreme past the sweep wick.
  • Stop just beyond that sweep wick, because a trade back through it says the read was wrong. Target the middle of the range. If the reward is not at least 1.5 times the risk, it does not trade.
  • Same discipline as its siblings: weekend and BTC mid-range stand-down, 2 new calls per heartbeat across all test bots, 3 open at once, 24 hour cooldown per coin, three day time stop.

How this differs from the Sweep BOT

The Sweep BOT takes the failed break immediately: the candle that closes back inside is its entry. This one treats that same candle as nothing more than a setup and waits for the retest. It gets fewer trades and misses the ones that never come back, and in exchange its stop is far tighter and it never buys the middle of a move. Two honest ways to trade the same structure, both tracked in public, and the records will settle which is better.

TESTING means the record above is built live, call by call, wins and losses alike, with no backfill. It graduates to auto deploy only if the record earns it. Research signals, not financial advice; markets are risky and past results never promise future ones.
